Carol A. Pisano - Partner

CAROL A. PISANO graduated with honors from both the State University of New York (1976), and the Maurice A. Deane School of Law (formerly Hofstra Law School) (1979), where she was an Editor the Law Review. She is admitted to practice before the State and Federal Courts of New York, New Jersey and Maine, and is a member of the bar of the United States Supreme Court.

Ms. Pisano’s specializes in insurance coverage matters, with an emphasis in the area of fidelity and surety law. She has been a speaker at numerous seminars presented by the Fidelity and Surety Law Committee (“FSLC”), a subdivision of the American Bar Association’s, Trial, Tort and Insurance Practice Section “(TTIPS”); The Fidelity Law Association; and the Surety Claims Institute. The topics of her presentations are discussed in several of her published articles, including The Outsourcer’s Apprentice: Employee or Illusion, which was featured as the cover article for the American Bar Association (“ABA”), TTIPS quarterly, The Brief; Interpretation and Construction of the Commercial Crime Policy, published in the Commercial Crime Policy, 2nd Ed., ABA 2005 (co-authored with Robert Duke); Avoiding “Contact” Fouls, Attorneys Seeking Information from Current and Former Employees: How to Proceed Without Committing Ethical Violations, published in conjunction with the June 2006 program of The Surety Claims Institute (co-authored with Lana Glovach); The Development of the Commercial Crime Policy: 66-Years of Evolution, published in the Annotated Commercial Crime Policy, 2nd Ed., ABA 2006 (co-authored with Richard S. Mills); and Recent Cases, Amendments, and Considerations Regarding the AIA A312 Payment Bond, published in the Summer 2008 edition of the Fidelity & Surety Law Committee Newsletter (co-authored with Christopher Kunkel).

From 2007 through 2009, Ms. Pisano served as a member of the ABA’s Annual Meeting Program Special Standing Committee. Ms. Pisano is especially honored to be a Trustee and member of the Legal Committee of the Heisman Trophy Trust, the organization charged with the stewardship of the Heisman Trophy, college football’s most prestigious award.
