ERIC R. PERKINS practices in the area of consumer and business bankruptcy, insolvency and commercial transactions with emphasis in representing businesses and their owners in bankruptcies, as well as assignments for the benefit of creditors and debtor’s and creditors’ committees in bankruptcies. His commercial experience includes transactions in the construction, healthcare, real estate, manufacturing and transportation industries among many others both here in the United States and in Europe.

Mr. Perkins currently serves on the Panel of Chapter 7 Trustees for the United States Bankruptcy Court, District of New Jersey, Newark Vicinage, and has been a member for over ten years. Mr. Perkins has also received numerous appointments as a Chapter 11 Trustee. His Chapter 11 Trustee appointments have been in a wide array of industries and businesses including, but not limited to, the medical and dental fields.

Mr. Perkins is a member of the Bergen County, New Jersey State and American Bar Associations and the American Bankruptcy Institute. He currently serves as the co-chair of the Bergen County Bar Association, Debtor/Creditor Section. Mr. Perkins has lectured extensively. He is currently serving as the New Jersey Lawyers’ Chapter Chairman of the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy.

Mr. Perkins is admitted to practice in the Bar of the State of New Jersey, United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
