ERIN A. ROWIN is an Associate in the Labor & Employment Department and concentrates her practice in employment litigation and counseling. Ms. Rowin represents management in all types of employment-related disputes in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies with a special focus on the representation of brokerage firms and their representatives in Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) arbitrations. Ms. Rowin has defended clients against claims of employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, employment-related torts, and unfair labor charges. She also spends time counseling clients on methods to avoid litigation, including providing advice to clients on day-to-day matters such as employee handbook provisions, discipline and termination, separation agreements, reasonable accommodations, employee benefits, and investigating harassment and discrimination claims.

Ms. Rowin has extensive experience representing clients in the financial services industry and has litigated, arbitrated and mediated employment-related lawsuits before the NYSE, FINRA and in the federal and state courts concerning discrimination, sexual harassment, whistle-blowing, compensation disputes, breach of contract, Form U-5 defamation and other business related torts.

While Ms. Rowin’s practice focuses on labor and employment issues, she has also represented financial clients in securities sales practice litigation and also has experience with complex class action litigation and corporate asset recovery and collection.
