Joshua R. Pini - Associate

JOSHUA R. PINI represents employers in a range of labor and employment law matters before federal and state trial courts, appellate courts, and administrative agencies.  Mr. Pini has trial and arbitration experience in federal and state courts and before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and has defended corporate clients against claims based on employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, violation of federal and state wage and hour laws, Form U-5 defamation and expungement, deferred compensation programs, commission arrangements and discretionary incentive pay.  Mr. Pini also counsels employers on a variety of labor and employment issues including wage and hour issues, the accommodation of employee disabilities and medical leaves, employee disciplinary issues, separation agreements and employee handbooks. He has negotiated employment, restrictive covenant and separation agreements and has experience handling litigation related to restrictive covenants. 

Mr. Pini served as a law clerk for the Honorable Joseph A. Greenaway, Jr., then of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, since elevated to the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.  Mr. Pini received his Bachelor of Arts in History and Government from the University of Notre Dame and his Juris Doctorate from the University of North Carolina.  During law school, Mr. Pini served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Patricia Timmons-Goodson, then Judge of the North Carolina Court of Appeals, now Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of North Carolina.
