Lisette L. Guzman - Associate

LISETTE L. GUZMAN is an Associate in the Firm’s Commercial Group. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and her Master’s in the Science of Teaching from Pace University in New York.  She received her Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law, where she was a member of the Seton Hall Circuit Review.  Her comment “In defense of disabled students: Why the stay-put provision protects student placement throughout the entire appeals process,” was published in Seton Hall’s Circuit Review Volume 12.  Lisette was also a member of Seton Hall Law School's Interscholastic Moot Court Board.  She also competed in the Eugene Gressman Moot Court Competition.  Lisette worked in the real estate industry as a licensed realtor during law school.   Prior to law school, she was a teacher in New York.

While in law school, she also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Joseph A. Dickson, U.S.M.J., in the United States District Court, District of New Jersey and the Honorable Rosemary Gambardella, in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.  She also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Patricia M. Richmond, in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division, in Burlington County.           

Before joining the Firm, Lisette served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert J. Brennan, P.J.Ch. in the Superior Court of New Jersey, General Equity-Chancery Division, in Morris County.  She is admitted to practice in the States of New Jersey and New York and the United States District Court, for the District of New Jersey.
