Louis A. Uccello - Associate

LOUIS A. UCCELLO is an Associate of the Firm.  In 2012, he was awarded a Martindale Hubbell®  AV®  Preeminent™ peer review rating, the highest rating available for legal ability and professional ethics, following an extensive and confidential peer review by members of the bar and judiciary.  Mr. Uccello was selected for inclusion in the 2013 Super Lawyers ® - Rising Stars list, a distinction limited to no more than 2 ½ percent of attorneys in the state.

Mr. Uccello has extensive experience in construction litigation including the representation of owners, design professionals, and contractors in matters involving construction defects, architectural and engineering errors and omissions, worksite accidents, green energy projects and environmental issues.  His legal experience and practice also includes complex litigation involving serious personal injury and wrongful death claims, negligent security matters, business disputes, and white collar criminal matters including internal and governmental/regulatory investigations.  Mr. Uccello has represented clients of all sizes - from individuals, such as architects and insurance producers, to property management companies, insurance companies, energy suppliers, and large corporations with global operations.

Currently, Mr. Uccello is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the New Jersey chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), a coalition of building industry leaders committed to advancing structures that are environmentally responsible, profitable, and healthy.  Mr. Uccello is on the pro bono attorney list for Partners for Women and Justice, which provides legal assistance to women seeking to escape abusive relationships and protect themselves and their children.

Mr. Uccello is a 2004 graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law.    During law school, he served as a Public Service Fellow for Central Jersey Legal Services as well as a Law Intern to the Chief Counsel of the State of New York Grievance Committee for the 2nd and 11th Judicial Districts.   Immediately following law school, he served as a judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Bryan D. Garruto, J.S.C. in the Law Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey.  Thereafter, Mr. Uccello completed the Joseph Halpern-David Furman American Inn of Court in 2007.  As a member of the Inn, he engaged in advanced trial advocacy training alongside distinguished attorneys and judges.

Since graduating from law school, Mr. Uccello has completed construction-related courses of study.  Additionally, he has obtained training certification recognized by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), a part of the United States Department of Labor, for having completed courses in construction worksite “Fall Protection” and “Cranes, Derricks, Hoists, Elevators, and Conveyors.”
