Lucille J. Karp

LUCILLE J. KARP is a partner at the Firm and serves as Co-Chair for the Transactional Group, Co-Chair of the Hiring Committee, and is McElroy Deutsch’s General Counsel. She received her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University, College of Engineering where she received a B.S. Degree in Ceramic Engineering. She received her Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law. Ms. Karp was admitted to practice law in New Jersey in 1990 and is a member of the New Jersey State and American Bar Associations.  She is also a member of the Renewable Energy, Cleantech and Climate Change Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association and New Jersey Women Lawyers Association.

Ms. Karp’s practice focuses on commercial real estate transactional work with an emphasis on office and industrial leasing, both nationally and locally, as well as retail leasing on behalf of both tenants and landlords, real estate acquisitions for purchasers, real estate dispositions for sellers and real estate financings for borrowers. Her corporate experience includes mergers and acquisitions and financings as well as other corporate counseling and general contract work including service agreements, supply and distribution agreements, licensing of intellectual property, research and development agreements and confidentiality agreements.

Ms. Karp also serves on the Zimmerli Art Museum's Advisory Board of Directors. The Zimmerli Art Museum is one of the largest and most distinguished university-based museums in the country and is located on the New Brunswick campus of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. As a Board Member, Ms. Karp provides advice and support for the museum’s mission to serve both the campus and community audiences.
