Thomas R. Curtin

THOMAS R. CURTIN is a member of the Firm’s Commercial Litigation group specializing in practice in both Federal and State Courts.  He also maintains a practice representing athletes, coaches, sports teams and fashion designers on a variety of matters.  Before joining the Firm, Mr. Curtin was a founding member of Graham Curtin, a midsize firm located in Morristown, New Jersey.

He is a member of the Bars of the State of New Jersey, United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Mr. Curtin is a member of the American Bar Association and was a member of the House of Delegates from 1990 to 2015.  He also served as the New Jersey Delegate to the American Bar Association from 2001 to 2011 and as the Governor for New Jersey and Pennsylvania to the American Bar Association Board of Governors from 2012 to 2015.  Mr. Curtin is a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and served on the Council of the National Conference of Bar Presidents.

He chairs the Lawyers Advisory Committee of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.  He currently serves as a member of the Notre Dame Law Association and is a past President.  Additionally, he is a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Historical Advisory Board. Mr. Curtin is also the President of Autism New Jersey.

Mr. Curtin was the President of the Morris County Bar Association and the former Chair of the Morris County Judicial Selection Committee.

He was the President of the New Jersey State Bar Association from 1993 to 1994 and was the President of the New Jersey State Bar Foundation from 1986 to 1988.  He chaired the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law from 1996 to 1998 and is a current member of the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism. Mr. Curtin was a member of the Supreme Court of Ethics Committee serving as its Vice Chair from 1978 to 1984.  He was a Trustee of the Association of the Federal Bar and a member of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey Historical Society.
