Monica Tavares Holland - Associate

MONICA TAVARES HOLLAND focuses her practice on complex litigation matters, particularly those involving wage and hour claims, construction projects, and recovery matters related to surety and fidelity bonds. 

Ms. Holland represents corporations and individuals in federal and state courts.  Her experience includes representing employers in nationwide collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act, completing sureties on large public projects, lenders in all aspects of contested mortgage litigation, plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury lawsuits, and assisting clients recover millions of dollars in breach of contract matters.  Ms. Holland has experience trying a jury trial to verdict and arbitrating claims, as well as with effectively using summary proceedings resulting in dismissal before trial.

Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Holland served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Karen L. Suter, J.S.C., in the Civil Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Burlington Vicinage.  During law school, she served as a summer judicial intern for the Honorable Donald S. Goldman, J.S.C. (ret.) in the Civil Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex Vicinage.

Ms. Holland graduated magna cum laude from The George Washington University in 2005, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Communications and a minor in Business Administration.  Ms. Holland received her Juris Doctorate in 2008 from the The George Washington University Law School, where she was a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Skills Board and Civil & Family Litigation Clinical Program and participant in the National Telecommunications Moot Court Competition. 

Ms. Holland is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, District of New Jersey and the Third Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals.
