John M. Frega - Associate

JOHN M. FREGA is an associate in the firm’s construction and surety group. He is a 2007 graduate of the Stevens Institute of Technology where he earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering with High Honor and a Master of Science degree in Construction Management. He is a member of the Tau Beta Pi and Chi Epsilon honor societies.

Mr. Frega earned his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Seton Hall University in 2011. While at Seton Hall, he served as the Associate Comments Editor for the Seton Hall Journal of Sports and Entertainment Law, president of the Intellectual Property Law Association, and worked as a research assistant for Professor David W. Barnes. His comment, The Performance Rights Act of 2009 and the Local Radio Freedom Act: Will Performance Rights Kill the Radio Star?,
20 Seton Hall J. Sports & Ent. L. 333, was published in Spring 2010.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Frega worked as a patent examiner in the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He has also served as an intern to the Honorable Francis R. Hodgson, J.S.C. and as a law clerk to the Honorable Arnold B. Goldman, J.S.C. He is admitted to the bars of the State of New Jersey, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the State of New York.  In addition, Mr. Frega was appointed in 2017 to serve on the Superior Court of New Jersey District VB Fee Arbitration Committee.
