Melissa A. Ruth

Overview

MELISSA A. RUTH is an associate in the Firm’s commercial group.  She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and before the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey.

Ms. Ruth graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 2012 where she received a B.S. in Crime, Law, and Justice and a minor in History.  She received her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law in 2016. 

During law school, Ms. Ruth served as Managing Editor of Research and Writing for the Villanova Law Review.  Her case note, “What to Expect When Someone is Expecting for You: New Jersey Needs to Protect Parties to Gestational Surrogacy Agreements Following In Re T.J.S.,” was published in Volume 60 of the Law Review.  Ms. Ruth also served as a student attorney for Villanova’s Health Law and Farmworker Legal Aid Clinics and worked as a teaching assistant.

Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Ruth served as law clerk to the Honorable Mary Gibbons Whipple, J.A.D., Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division.
