Everett E. Gale, III - Partner

EVERETT E. GALE, III  is designated by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney. This designation is granted only to those attorneys demonstrating superior experience, education, knowledge, and skills in civil trial practice. Successful applicants must pass a rigorous written examination and be recommended by judges and peers as possessing the requisite expertise in civil trial practice. Only 2-3% of all attorneys practicing in New Jersey receive this distinction.

Mr. Gale was also elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) in 2011. Membership in this organization is by invitation only to Trial Attorneys who have demonstrated excellent trial skills while maintaining the highest level of professionalism, integrity, honor, and courtesy.

In June 2012, Mr. Gale was Certified as a Civil Pretrial Practice Advocate by the National Board of Civil Pre-trial Practice Advocacy.   The National Board of Civil Pretrial Practice Advocacy is the newest division of the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification (NBLSC), a non-profit organization accredited by the American Bar Association to provide board certification for attorneys in specialty practice areas, including civil trial law. The organization is an outgrowth of the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA), which was the first non-profit board worldwide to be dedicated to certifying lawyer competence.  The NBTA has also recognized Mr. Gale as a Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate.

Civil Pre-trial Practice Advocate Certification is a voluntary process, with only highly motivated and experienced attorneys meeting the NBLSC’s rigorous requirements.

In addition to the Civil Pre-Trial Practice Advocate Board Certification, Mr. Gale has obtained the Civil Trial Advocate Certification, which is only granted to those attorneys who demonstrate an enhanced level of skill and expertise in civil trial advocacy by meeting exacting objective quality standards.  Board Certified Civil Trial Advocates must demonstrate extensive experience, integrity and dedication to the interests of their clients, thereby upholding the standards of the NBTA and elevating the standards of the profession as well.

Mr. Gale has more than 16 years of experience as a trial attorney and has tried over 50 jury trials to verdict. Mr. Gale has won every case, except for one. He has also tried numerous matters in the Division of Workers Compensation. Mr. Gale has been assigned out to trial in over 200 cases and deposed over 1000 fact and expert witnesses. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Gale prosecuted civil matters on behalf of plaintiffs and tried numerous cases.

Mr. Gale has extensive experience in complex litigation, including construction defect, medical and legal malpractice, product and premises liability, general liability actions and exterminator pesticide exposure cases. He regularly practices in State courts as well as the Federal Courts. He also has experience at the appellate level. He successfully obtained affirmation of dismissal for a first aid squad under New Jersey’s Tort Claims Act involving an issue of first impression Pallister v. Spotswood First Aid Squad, 355 N.J. Super. 278 (App. Div. 2002).

Mr. Gale co-authored a treatise on negligence Lexis/Nexis Practice Guide New Jersey Personal Injury – Litigation, Chapter 2 Premises Liability, 2007. Martindale-Hubbell awarded him its AV Peer Review Rating, its highest level of professional excellence. Mr. Gale is active in local politics and serves as Somerset County District 5 Representative.

In 2011, Mr. Gale was appointed to serve on the Montgomery Township Board of Health.  Mr. Gale has been appointed as an adjunct professor to instruct the Intensive Deposition Advocacy Program at Rutgers School of Law - Camden for Fall 2013.
