GARY F. SHELDON is a construction attorney educated and experienced in mechanical engineering.  He focuses his practice on the representation of construction managers, contractors, subcontractors, owners, design professionals and other construction professionals in a wide variety of transactions and disputes, including construction claims, mechanic's liens, design disputes, contract drafting and negotiation, contract administration, change orders, government compliance, procurement, construction delays, payment and performance bond claims and bid protests. He has successfully prosecuted and defended many high value construction disputes in state and federal courts and arbitration and mediation. 

Mr. Sheldon has represented clients throughout the east coast and across the country resulting in the resolution of complex multi-party construction disputes arising out of the construction of museums, prisons, court houses, hospitals, power plants of many kinds, federal buildings, public and private schools, dormitories, university buildings, waste water treatment plants, government office buildings, roads and bridges, water pipelines, apartment buildings, commercial office buildings, hotels and retail projects of all sizes. He has extensive experience with public procurement including the successful prosecution and defense of numerous public bidding disputes. 

Mr. Sheldon has served as a panel mediator and arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association since 2013.   He has mediated and arbitrated several complex construction disputes through the AAA and privately, including multi-party disputes.  He has mediated and arbitrated several disputes between attorneys and their clients through the Connecticut Bar Association Fee Disputes Program.  Mr. Sheldon may be contacted directly regarding service as a mediator or arbitrator.
