John J. O'Reilly - Of Counsel

JOHN J. O’REILLY is a certified criminal trial attorney with over 40 years of trial experience practicing in the areas of commercial litigation and white collar criminal defense.  In addition to representing corporate clients in a wide range of litigation, he represents corporations and individuals who may be targets, victims or witnesses in criminal matters involving securities, the environment, OSHA, RICO, embezzlement, identity theft, insurance, health care, questioned documents and wire and mail fraud, in both federal and state jurisdictions.  For the past decade, John has been listed as a Super Lawyer®, a Thomson Reuters business, in the areas of Criminal Defense: White Collar, Business Litigation, and Environmental Litigation.  A description of the standard or methodology on which the accolade is based can be found HERE (No aspect of the advertisement has been approved by the Supreme Court). 

John served as Prosecutor of Warren County from 1992-1998.  Previously, he was the First Assistant Prosecutor in Morris County from 1982 to 1992 and prior to that he served as the First Assistant Deputy Public Defender in both the Morris and Essex regions.

John has lectured and participated in panel discussions sponsored by the American Bar Association, New Jersey County Prosecutor’s Association, the Morris County Bar Association, the Warren County Bar Association and various colleges and universities in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  He has also made numerous television appearances including: guest commentator on the program “In Context” with former Dean of Harvard Law School Arthur Miller, guest commentator of “Court TV” with Fred Graham, guest commentator on “Court TV” with Raymond Brown and guest commentator on “CBS News” with Lisa Daniels.
