John P. Beyel

JOHN P. BEYEL is a magna cum laude graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He is a cum laude graduate of Syracuse University College of Law, where he served as Assistant Editor of the Syracuse University Law Review. Mr. Beyel is admitted to the bars of New Jersey and New York, the bars of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, Southern District of New York, and Eastern District of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States of America.

Mr. Beyel has been co-Chair of the Trust & Estate Section of the Morris County Bar Association for several years.  He developed the Morris County program for mediation of probate litigation.  He has lectured on estate related topics and served as moderator for judicial panels addressing issues which arise in probate litigation.

Mr. Beyel is a Rule 1:40 Qualified Mediator.  He has been appointed by several courts to serve as mediator on a variety of business and estate related matters.

Mr. Beyel has represented clients before Planning Boards and Zoning Boards of Adjustment in numerous municipalities.

Mr. Beyel also has extensive experience in litigation of environmental disputes in both State and Federal courts. These matters include cost recovery and contribution actions brought under CERCLA and the New Jersey Spill Compensation and Control Act by governmental agencies or private parties.
