MELANIE D. LIPOMANIS is an Associate with the Labor & Employment Group and practices primarily in the areas of employment litigation, labor disputes, and providing legal counsel to human resource professionals. 

Ms. Lipomanis represents private and public sector management in litigation involving claims of discrimination, wrongful discharge, breach of contract, retaliation, FMLA, wage and hour violations, unfair labor practice charges, and labor grievances.  She represents management in these matters before federal and state courts, administrative agencies, state and federal arbitration forums including the American Arbitration Association, the National Labor Relations Board and the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission.

Ms. Lipomanis is a 2003 graduate of the National Labor College in Silver Spring, Maryland, and 2008 graduate of Rutgers School of Law-Newark where she was an Editor on the Rutgers Law Review.  While attending law school, Ms. Lipomanis served as law clerk to the Honorable Peter J. Calderone, Director and Chief Judge of the New Jersey Division of Workers’ Compensation.  As an Eagleton Fellow, Ms. Lipomanis was selected for an internship in the Governor’s Counsel’s Office. She was also recognized as a Raymond R. Trombadore Scholar for her commitment to community involvement.

Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Lipomanis served as the Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Rudy B. Coleman, Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division.
