Salvatore A. Giampiccolo - Partner
SALVATORE A. GIAMPICCOLO, received his undergraduate degree with honors from Manhattan College in 1986 and Juris Doctor from Seton Hall School of Law in 1989. While at Seton Hall, Mr. Giampiccolo held the position of Student Director of the Seton Hall Legislative Bureau and Journal and authored a Note entitled Crossing the State Line: New Jersey Enters the New Age of Interstate Banking, 11 Seton Hall Legis. J. 371, 1988. He also was the recipient of the Seton Hall School of Law Alumni Distinction Award. He is admitted to practice law in the States of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, as well as before the United States Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and various United States District Courts. Mr. Giampiccolo is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey Bar Association, New York Bar Association, and Bergen County Bar Association. In addition, he was the former Chair of the District IIA (Bergen County – North) Ethics Committee as well as the former Chair of the District IIB (Bergen County – South) Ethics Committee.
His practice has been focused on litigation, corporate, transactional and general practice. The emphasis of his corporate/transactional practice is concentrated on commercial lending, including asset based and commercial and real estate financing, as well as representing a variety of individual and corporate clients including captives in the automotive industry, a number of automobile dealer groups, in the acquisition and sale of real estate, stock, and assets.
In recent years, the emphasis of his litigation has been concentrated on commercial matters, including automotive industry (dealerships and captive financial entities), class action, construction, consumer financial services, consumer fraud, franchise, shareholder and partnership disputes as well as insurance defense, premises defense, and professional liability defense (architects, engineers and legal).
He also regularly counsels corporate clients on contract and risk management matters and his representation of Clinical Research Organizations (“CROs”) and Life Science Companies in general corporate matters as well as consulting and preparing Master Services Agreements, Clinical and Analytical Study Agreements, Clinical Site Agreements, Project Agreements, Intellectual Property Agreements etc for medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and biologics. The drug companies ranged from start-up to global in size and included those developing NCEs (New Chemical Entities) as well as generic drugs. The studies represented all phases of development including discovery, preclinical, toxicology, Phases I, II, and III. Additionally, his representation of CROs also involved litigation and consulted nationally on actions arising from alleged breach of the study agreement, breach of protocol, CRO's Standard Operating Procedures and Industry practices as well as other study related FDA issues.
Mr. Giampiccolo has earned an AV rating by the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating system, the highest ranking an attorney can receive from his peers. He is also included on the New Jersey Super Lawyers list for 2010 and 2011 for Franchise Law.
