Sandra D. Lovell

SANDRA D. LOVELL earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from New York University in 1989. She worked as a reporter for several major newspapers, including The Star-Ledger and the New Jersey Law Journal before joining the Firm as a paralegal in 2001, while attending Seton Hall University School of Law. In 2002, she was a recipient of the Eugene Gressman Moot Court Competition award for Best Brief Runner Up-Respondent.   She received her Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall in June of 2003. She served as a judicial clerk from 2003-2004 to The Honorable Ross R. Anzaldi, former civil judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Union County Vicinage. She is currently admitted to the bars of New Jersey, New York, the United States District Court, for the District of New Jersey, the Southern District of New York, and the Eastern District of New York.

Ms. Lovell practices in the area of defense litigation, including premises liability, personal injury, auto negligence, insurance coverage, product liability, consumer fraud, construction defects and professional negligence. She has represented major clients, such as Home Depot and Public Storage in many premises liability actions.  She handles all aspects of litigation, from discovery through trial and appeals.  She was also a member of the trial team in the highly publicized negligent security case, Aeriel v. State-Operated School District of Newark, et al., arising from the murders of three teen-agers in a schoolyard.  The case involved complex and novel legal issues and extensive motion practice, culminating in a six-week trial and favorable settlement. (Results may vary depending on your particular facts and legal circumstances).
