Shirin Heidary - Associate
SHIRIN HEIDARY is a transactional attorney who advises businesses and individuals on mergers and acquisitions, debt financings, entity formation, private equity and venture capital investments, and other corporate and real estate transactions.
Prior to joining MDM&C, Ms. Heidary worked as a corporate finance and restructuring attorney, handling swap negotiations for hedge funds and banking institutions, refinancings and entity formation for domestic and offshore private equity firms, secured financing transactions for business entities, and foreclosure and bankruptcy litigation. Ms. Heidary worked in the family office operation of a major international investment bank. She also served as in-house counsel to Longview Investments, a real estate investment company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with over $300 million under management.
Ms. Heidary earned a B.A. from Princeton University, with a concentration in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. She also received a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and a Certificate with a focus in finance from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. While at Princeton University, Ms. Heidary was awarded the George Schultz Class of 1955 Award for research into water policy issues in Israel.
Ms. Heidary is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia. She is also admitted to the District Courts of the District of Connecticut, and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
