Michael D. Celentano - Of Counsel

MICHAEL D. CELENTANO is Of Counsel in the Firm’s Insurance Services and Litigation Group.  Mr. Celentano has extensive experience in a wide range of civil litigation including products liability, premises liability, automobile negligence, construction litigation, complex commercial litigation, including substantial experience with class action litigation, and contract disputes.  Mr. Celentano appears regularly in State and Federal Court in such matters and has experience in all phases of such litigation.  Mr. Celentano represents a wide range of clients including insurance companies, small and large businesses, and individuals who have been named as defendants in civil law suits.

Mr. Celentano’s experience includes serving one of the principally responsible attorneys in a large national class action involving product liability and breach of warranty claims brought on behalf of a proposed national class.  Mr. Celentano was responsible for all phases of the litigation, including voluminous and complex discovery of electronically stored information and aggressive motion practice addressing the viability of Plaintiffs’ class allegations and substantive claims. In addition to this significant class action experience, Mr. Celentano has also handled numerous complex personal injury and commercial litigation matters involving product liability, premises liability, automobile negligence, contract disputes, and construction litigation and New Jersey and New York courts.

Mr. Celentano received his Juris Doctorate from New England Law, Boston in 2012. At New England Law, Mr. Celentano was the Lead Article Editor for the New England Journal on Criminal and Civil Confinement. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Celentano served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Randal C. Chiocca, J.S.C., for the Superior Court of New Jersey, Passaic  and Essex Vicinages.

Mr. Celentano received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Drew University in 2009, with a major in Psychology, and a minor in Sociology. Mr. Celentano was a four-year starter for the Drew University Men’s Lacrosse Team, and served as team captain during his senior year. Additionally, while at Drew University, Mr. Celentano was elected President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.

Mr. Celentano is admitted to the New Jersey and New York State bars.
