About this position
McElroy Deutsch is seeking an attorney with at least one year of experience handling complex litigation matters, including insurance defense, construction, bankruptcy and/or commercial litigation, for our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office. Candidates who have clerked for a judge but who have not worked for a law firm also considered.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and file complaints, answers, motions, and discovery responses;
- Work collaboratively with senior attorneys and clients on litigation issues;
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and manage discovery;
- Prepare for and attend court hearings, mediations, and depositions; and
- Engage in courtroom advocacy and motion practice.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an ABA accredited law school;
Admission to the Pennsylvania bar and/or other state and federal bars;
- Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and
- Ability to manage complex cases and work collaboratively in a team environment.
