About this position
McElroy Deutsch is seeking an experienced Subrogation & Recovery Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling subrogation, recovery, and collection matters on behalf of insurance carriers and/or other clients.
The attorney will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload involving fidelity and employee dishonesty claims, fire losses, automobile losses, landlord-tenant issues, borrower defaults, and other subrogation and recovery matters.
Responsibilities:
Evaluating claims, conducting investigations and legal research, pursuing recovery from responsible parties, negotiating settlements, and handling litigation as appropriate.
Work collaboratively with senior attorneys and clients on litigation issues;
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and manage discovery;
Prepare for and attend court hearings, mediations, and depositions; and
Engage in courtroom advocacy and motion practice.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an ABA accredited law school;
Admission to the Pennsylvania bar and/or other state and federal bars;
Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and
Ability to manage complex cases and work collaboratively in a team environment.
