James P. Kearns

JAMES P. KEARNS is an Associate in the Firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group. His practice areas include premises liability, products liability, warranty and consumer protection defense, employment law, construction law, commercial litigation and class action defense. Jim has represented casinos, bowling alleys, major automobile manufacturers, educational institutions, an international manufacturer of consumer electronics products, and has represented small business owners in negotiating commercial lease agreements, forming business entities and partnerships, and in resolving partnership disputes.

In law school, Jim was a member of the Pace Law Review and served as a Federal Judicial Honors Extern to The Honorable Lois Bloom, Magistrate Judge, Eastern District of New York. Jim was also named a Pro Bono Scholar, and after taking the bar exam a semester before graduation, worked pro bono for his final semester representing victims of domestic violence at the New York Legal Assistance Group.
