Jonathan Friedler

JONATHAN FRIEDLER is an attorney in the Firm’s Fidelity, Construction and Surety Litigation Group.  He represents general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners in complex construction disputes, including litigation and ADR.  Jonathan also handles a variety of business litigation matters, including firm/ partnership dissolutions, corporate disputes, breach of contract claims, unfair trade practice claims, and other commercial disputes.

In addition to his litigation practice, Jonathan serves as counsel for attorney-clients in disciplinary proceedings before local panels, hearings before the Statewide Grievance Committee, and presentment proceedings in Superior Court.  He has represented clients in trust account audits, attorney reinstatement efforts following suspension/ imposition of discipline, and bar admission proceedings.  He assists lawyers in an array of ethics issues that arise when representing their own clients, such as rebutting motions to disqualify and motions for sanctions, resolution of fee disputes with prior/ successor counsel, and client fee disputes.

Jonathan graduated from Hofstra Law with a business law honors concentration in 2014.  He is active in the CT Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section, where he previously served as the Professional Discipline Chair (2018-2019) for the YLS Executive Committee.  He served as a director for the Executive Committee from 2019 – 2022.
