Clint D. Watts

Overview

CLINT D. WATTS is an Associate in the Warwick office of MDM&C where his practice is concentrated in civil litigation involving health care and pharmaceutical entities, manufacturing products liability, commercial disputes, and financial industry matters. 

Mr. Watts has extensive experience in all forms of dispute resolution including arbitration, mediation, dispositive motions and trial practice. He has conducted and defended dozens of high-stakes depositions from coast to coast and regularly represents pharmaceutical companies, manufacturers, insurers, and individuals in both federal and state courts. He also acts as local counsel for national retailers seeking to accomplish targeted business objectives and supports the firm’s active patient safety practice.

Prior to joining MDM&C, Mr. Watts was a member of a mid-size New-England firm where he supervised the day-to-day operations of the firm’s Rhode Island office.  He completed a clerkship at the Rhode Island Superior Court in Providence, and served as a summer fellow at the student-run Harvard Legal Aid Bureau at Harvard Law School, where he represented clients in housing litigation and consumer protection matters.

Mr. Watts received his law degree from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, where he was recognized with the Scholar in Law distinction, the Dean's Service Award, the Equal Justice Award, and the Award for Excellence in Oral Advocacy. During law school, he served as an Associate Editor for the Washington University Journal of Law and Public Policy and the Co-chair of the Public Service Advisory Board. Mr. Watts received his undergraduate degree at Westminster College, where he studied Sociology and Political Science.

In his personal time, Mr. Watts serves as an appointed member of the Tax Assessor’s Board of Review of Barrington, Rhode Island. He is a proud husband and the father to three gifted and precocious children.
