Overview

MONICA HOLLAND practices in a variety of complex litigation areas including commercial, construction, fraud, employment, and general liability litigation.  Representing businesses and individuals in federal and state courts, Ms. Holland has experience trying jury and bench trials to verdict, arbitrating claims, and effectively using summary proceedings to resolve cases before trial.

Ms. Holland has successfully assisted clients recover millions of dollars in breach of contract, conversion, negligence, and subrogation and recovery matters related to fidelity bonds and employee dishonesty policies.

Ms. Holland regularly represents parties in claims relating to premises, personal injury, construction, foreclosure, and employment practices liability.  She assists contractors, subcontractors, and sureties in defective work, contract, bond and lien claims.  Additionally, she represents management in employment-related matters, including wage and hour, retaliation, discrimination, hostile work environment, restrictive covenant, and collective and class actions.

Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Holland served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Karen L. Suter, J.S.C., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Burlington County.  During law school, she served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Donald S. Goldman, J.S.C. (ret.) in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex County.  Ms. Holland graduated magna cum laude from The George Washington University’s School of Media & Public Affairs.  She received her Juris Doctorate from the The George Washington University Law School, where she was a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Skills Board and Civil & Family Litigation Clinic and participant in the National Telecommunications Moot Court Competition. Ms. Holland has also been listed in Super Lawyers® Rising Stars (2019), a Thomson Reuters business, in the area of Business Litigation.
