Kate Chetta

Overview

KATE CHETTA is Of Counsel in the Firm’s Toxic Tort litigation group.  She graduated from Canisius College in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.  Ms. Chetta received her Juris Doctorate from State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo in 2011.  During law school, Ms. Chetta studied at Temple University’s Tokyo Campus.  Prior to attending law school, she worked for the United States House of Representatives in Washington, D.C.

 

Ms. Chetta has experience litigating cases on behalf of industry leaders in the manufacturing, industrial, consumer goods and petrochemical fields, in actions arising in the areas of complex toxic tort, product liability, premises liability, pharmaceutical, sporting goods, labor law, complex personal injury and asbestos actions.  Ms. Chetta is admitted to practice law in the State of New York, the State of New Jersey, and the United States District Court – Western District of New York.  She is a member of the New York State Bar Association Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law Board of Directors and previously served as the young lawyer liaison to the DRI Asbestos Medicine Seminar.  She has been recognized over the years as a Super Lawyers Rising Star and was included in the 2022 Edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch.
